Testimonials – what they're saying!
“Why did you join the AC?”
“At the start of 2004, I decided that I wanted to make a significant contribution to the coaching profession. I felt that I had the time and resources to give back and I have a huge desire to see this profession and the coaches within it flourish. I choose the AC due to the inspirational leadership displayed by Katherine Tulpa, the Chair of the AC and her drive and determination to see professionalism, ethics and rigorous research form the profession. I see a growing association that truly represents the needs and aspirations of its growing membership.”

“Why did you join the AC?”
"The more I'm exposed to the AC, the more impressed I am. If the bywords for an outstanding coach are clarity, simplicity and reality, then they must also apply to the very best in professional associations. The AC is absolutely clear in its message for the industry; it provides a simple means of authenticating credentials and keeps the whole thing real by providing on going professional development for its members."

“Why did you join the AC?”
People Plus Solutions have been involved in coaching for a number of years and we were keen to align ourselves with an organisation that would develop standards, raise awareness of the profession, in its many forms, and ensure best practice. The Association for Coaching achieves this and provides the structure necessary to promote coaching services more widely as well as the opportunity to keep us up to date with developments at home and internationally. It also has the added benefit of creating a fraternity of professional coaches to work and associate with. We were delighted be included as a Founding Organisation for the AC as we believe it makes a real difference and enhances the credibility of coaching as a profession.

“Why did you join the AC?”
"Although I was aware of various personal development methods, I wanted to build my knowledge and understanding of coaching. By joining the AC, I was encouraged to do just that. Within a few months I had researched the idea of co-coaching within the membership and I was soon organising and facilitating regular co-coaching forums. This allowed me to experience, first-hand a range of different coaching styles and I was able to compare and contrast these with my own approach. Soon after, other members expressed their interests in organising their own local groups and so I as able to support them in this. Now, as AC Co-Coaching Development Manager, I coordinate eight regional co-coaching forums and all this has contributed greatly in developing my coaching, facilitation and group-work skills."

“Why did you join the AC?”
“I joined The Association for Coaching as I believed it was time for me as a long standing professional in executive coaching, to commit to an organisation I felt had a professional interest in furthering the professional education and standards of coaches operating in Europe. I had hesitated in joining other bodies as I felt that they were not sufficiently focused on coaching in this part of the world, or I had concerns about the quality of the training, the personalities involved and the (lack of) ethics. I am happy to be a member of the Association for Coaching and I believe that it is the right vehicle for me to contribute to assisting with the development of coaching from an industry to a profession.”

“Why did I join the AC?”
“I joined the AC after meeting AC Chair, Katherine Tulpa, on several occasions and being inspired and encouraged by her vision and commitment to the AC. Katherine is passionate about growing the coaching industry by being better at what we do! That means higher standards of education, ongoing professional development, accreditation, accountability and alliances.
As a successful leadership coach, I have personal experience of how challenging it is to develop new clients and to spread the word around the true benefits of coaching. These efforts can all too easily be undermined by under trained and unprofessional coaches that give coaching a bad name.
The AC provides a global bar, which can be continually raised, to ensure that that member coaches are always at the leading edge of human development. This will ultimately give industry the positive experiences and confidence it needs to leverage the potential of coaching to deliver extraordinary results.”

“Why did you join the AC?”
“I was introduced to the Association of Coaching by an existing member and attended one of the London evening sessions. I was very impressed by the professionalism of the organization and the quality of speakers and the structure of the evening. It was also wonderful to mix with like-minded people who had similar and different approaches. I enjoy new learning experiences. The sessions provided a wonderful opportunity to integrate and deepen my knowledge of new methods and techniques to assist me and my clients. I always look forward to the meetings and have made new friends. A special thank you to Katherine Tulpa who made me feel at “home”.”

“Being a collective and proactive voice in an emerging profession – one that is open and inclusive. To help provide clarity and communicate the value that Coaching can bring.
