Association for Coaching Data Protection Guidelines
Association for Coaching, a company limited by guarantee and incorporated and registered in England with company number 4502634 whose registered office is at Golden Cross House, 8 Duncannon Street, London WC2N 4JF, England ("we", "our" and "us") is registered as a Data Controller at the Information Commissioner's Office.
We collect personal information relating to individuals and must comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 (the "Act") and the eight data protection principles. We work hard to ensure that:
- Personal information is processed fairly and lawfully;
- personal information is obtained only for one or more specified and lawful purposes and is not further processed in any manner incompatible with that purposes or purposes;
- personal information is adequate, relevant and not excessive in relation to the purposes or purposes for which it is processed;
- personal information is accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date;
- personal information is not kept for longer than is necessary for the purpose or purposes that it is processed;
- personal data is processed in accordance with the rights of data subjects under the Act;
- appropriate technical and organisational measures are made against unauthorised and unlawful processing of personal data and against accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, personal information; and
- personal information is not transferred to a country or territory outside the European Economic Area unless either that country or territory ensures an adequate level of protection or the transfer is permitted pursuant to Schedule 4 of the Act;

Our privacy policy highlights clearly to individuals that we may pass their information to subscribers of local Association for Coaching entities or the company with the name Association for Coaching International Limited (which is registered in England under the company number 6966900) ("Local Associations") and other third parties for the purposes of providing them with information about events, forums and seminars being run by Local Associations and subscribers of the Local Associations. If we provide any information relating to individuals to you ("Subscriber Information"), you agree:
- to comply with the Data Protection Principles;
- to use the Subscriber Information for the sole purpose of promoting our events, forums and seminars and those of Local Associations and their subscribers;
- not to use Subscriber Information for your own business or personal use; and
- not to sell or disclose Subscriber Information to any third party.
If you collect any information relating to individuals through your activities in promoting us and Local Associations ("Collected Information"), you agree:
- to comply with the Data Protection Principles;
- to supply a copy of our privacy policy to any individual from whom you collect information from;
- obtain consent from such individuals to supply the Collected Information to us;
- to supply the Collected Information to us; and
- to inform us of any request by any individual for their information to be removed from any database held by us and a Local Association.
