AC Honorary Awards 2006 – Coaching Leaders Recognised for Their Contribution to the Profession

The Coaching profession awards Darren Robson and Katherine Tulpa for their Influence and Impact to a rapidly expanding field.

The Association for Coaching (AC), one of the lead, non-profit professional bodies promoting high standards in coaching, announces the results of the 2006 AC Honorary Awards at their recent sold-out International Conference in London.

Two individuals were awarded for their contribution: Darren Robson, for Influencing the Coaching profession and Katherine Tulpa for Impacting the Coaching profession.

The award for Influencing reflects, acknowledges and recognises an individual who has demonstrated being a leader/ambassador within the industry, having influenced the development, expansion and therefore achievement and growth of coaching as a profession.

The award for Impacting honours the work of a leader/ambassador who has pioneered the use of coaching based philosophies that significantly benefit society, along with ethically demonstrating the benefits coaching based relationships can deliver into the wider coaching community/world.

Katherine Tulpa is Founder and Chair of the Association for Coaching and Darren Robson is Head of Strategic Relations. Both were given an Honorary Life Fellowship and have been recognised for their commitment and dedication to supporting the growth, evolution and expansion of the coaching industry both within the UK and increasingly across the globe.

The awards are nominated and voted for by peers representing the AC membership. The AC membership consists of a broad range of Coaching professionals, training/service providers, academic institutions and organisations involved in Coaching and developing their talent.

A special award was presented to Alex Szabo AC Vice Chair who was honoured with a Honorary Life Fellowship for her dedication and tireless support in making the AC the Coaching Association of choice for the majority of professionals.

The AC Honorary Awards continue to highlight the appreciation that the Coaching community feels for those who are making a real difference to the profession.
