The Coaching profession awards Sir John Whitmore and Katherine Tulpa for their Influence and Impact to a rapidly expanding field.
The Association for Coaching, the independent and non-profit body promoting high standards in coaching, recently launched the AC Honorary Awards at their International Conference in London.
Two individuals were awarded for their contribution: Katherine Tulpa, for Influencing the Coaching profession and Sir John Whitmore for Impacting the Coaching profession.
The award for influencing reflects, acknowledges and recognises an individual who has demonstrated being a leader/ambassador within the industry, having influenced the development, expansion and therefore achievement and growth of coaching as a profession.
The award for impacting recognises an individual who has pioneered the development and use of coaching based philosophies that significantly benefit society, along with ethically demonstrating the benefits coaching based relationships can deliver to the wider community.
Katherine Tulpa, Chair and founder of the Association says, “I am deeply honored to be acknowledged in this way. We’ve come far as an industry, and are at a point now where Coaching is becoming a credible and enabling profession we can all be proud to be part of!”
Sir John Whitmore, one of the UK's Coaching pioneers, is a frequent keynote speaker and has written many articles & books on coaching including the best-seller 'Coaching for Performance', now published in 15 languages.
The awards were nominated and chosen by their peers – AC members who are Coaching professionals, training/service providers, academic institutions and organisations involved in Coaching and developing their talent.
Darren Robson, Head of Strategic Relations sees the launch of the AC Honorary Awards as "A great way forward for recognising those who are making a real difference to the profession."
